LEGAL Directorate of the presidential’s campaign council of All
Progressives Congress (APC) has asked the Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC) to obey court orders restraining the commission from
using soldiers in the forthcoming general election in the country.
The council also forwarded same letter to the service chiefs and the
National Security Adviser (NSA), demanding that they refrained from
supervising the elections rescheduled on the ground that the service
chiefs could not guarantee security.

7 women arraigned for Prostitution and Child Trafficking in Ondo State..
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ondo State command detained seven women on suspicion of prostitution and child trafficking.
The women were arrested at a brothel on Car Street, in Akure, Ondo state, after some church members reported a suspected commercial sex worker and trafficker, Susan John, to police for luring a girl, Faith Ekepemephia, into prostitution.

Bank Verification Number (BVN) Registration date has been extended...
The central bank of Nigeria (CBN) has extended the deadline for the bank verification number (BVN) registration to October 31, 2015.
The bank said the extension is meant to facilitate smooth completion of registration.
The exercise, which started in February 2014, was initially meant to close on June 30.
The process entails data capturing of customers finger prints and also capturing of the customer in order to generate unique numbers for proper identification.

Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Taraba, Mr. Edward Ogenyi on Tuesday said that about 110,849 people are living with the virus in the State.

A bus driver has done the unthinkable this afternoon around Muson centre/TBS in Lagos.
According to Linda Ikeji, the bus driver was stopped by the officials of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) for disobeying traffic rule.
The officials decided to seize his bus but he did the unthinkable. He went under the bus and refused to come out, causing traffic on the road. See photos below:

Almajiris Were Responsible for Goodluck's Failure- Kwankwaso
Senator elect and Governor of Kano state, Rabiu Kwankwaso claims that the Almajiri votes were responsible for voting out President Goodluck Jonathan.

According to the ruling party, the opposition’s promise to pay N5, 000 monthly stipend each to 25 million poor Nigerians would amount to N125 billion monthly and N1.5 trillion every year. At a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, said this cannot be achieved, given the poor state of the nation’s economy and dwindling oil revenue.“What is baffling is that the APC knows fully well that this is not only unrealistic but also impracticable in a nation with an estimated budget of N4.69 trillion

3 women arraigned for stealing and selling baby... Tribune
FOUR women are now assisting the Anambra State Police Command to
unveil the mystery behind the sale of a two-month-old baby girl for
N625,000 to a person living in Enugu, after being cleverly whisked from
her mother at Nnewi, Anambra State.
Three of the women were arrested by the police from Ogigi Police Station, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State and were allegedly accused of selling the baby while the forth one was buying the baby.
The Nigerian Tribune gathered that the alleged buyer admitted buying the baby, saying that she needed the baby to look after her when she gets old.

A Young man caught having sex with a female corpse
A 26-year-old homeless man was caught having sex with a
female corpse at Hill Watson Peoples Funeral Service in the Georgian
city of Columbus, USA.
Police officers detained Domonique Smith for stealing a bicycle but the subsequent investigation revealed that the young man is also guilty of another crime. It appeared that Mr Smith who lives on the street broke into the funeral home and had sexual contact with the body of an unnamed woman.

Nigerian Kidnappers sells Ogun Schoolgirl to traffickers in Niger Republic.. See the victim's pic
Precious Okoro, the 15-year-old schoolgirl, who was
kidnapped by a syndicate suspected to be operating from the Niger
Republic, may have been sold to a love-vendor in Niamey, the country’s
capital.
The victim’s mother, Blessing, told PUNCH Metro that she spoke with a woman on the telephone who abused her for disturbing them with calls.She added that the unnamed woman claimed that she had bought the schoolgirl from the kidnappers.
PUNCH Metro had reported on January 27, how the Junior Secondary School three pupil was kidnapped in the Sangotedo, Ajah area of Lagos State, after she boarded a vehicle en route to her school in Ikenne, Ogun State.Her father, Nwaigwe, was said to have seen his daughter enter the vehicle without suspecting that it was owned by kidnappers.

Atleast not less than 10 persons were killed in today's Bomb blast in Biu Borno State
Not less than 10 persons were said to have been killed at Biu central
Market in Biu local government area of Borno state, when a suspected
female suicide bomber exploded an IED in the middle of the market.
The explosion, which occurred on Thursday at about 1:00 pm, was said to be the first suicide bomb attack in the area, a situation which caused panic among the people as residents scampered for safety.
